Rubber

Bayer is the world's leading producer of synthetic rubber and rubber chemicals with a variety of about 400 products. Also included are special preparations and processing chemicals from our subsidiary Rhein Chemie as well as latices from Polymer Latex GmbH, a joint venture with Degussa-Huls AG.

Polyurethanes

The poly-addition process of polyurethanes discovered by the Bayer scientist Dr.Otto Bayer 50 years ago has led to the use of these products in a remarkable range of flexible and rigid foams and other applications. Bayer is the leading manufacturer of polyurethane raw materials and formulations.

Coatings and Colorants

The business group pools Bayer's activities in the fields of coatings, adhesives and pigments for the paint, plastic, and construction industries in a customer-oriented structure.

Fibers

Bayer fibers have been giving shape to various textile applications for more than 50 years. The most famous product is our spandex fiber Dorlastan® that imparts a perfect fit from underwear and bodywear to sportswear as well as hosiery and outerwear.
