BioScience activities in Thailand focus on the development of hybrid rice and vegetable seeds. The opening of Rice Development Center in Suphan Buri Province in November 2008 marked an important milestone. Key activity at the Center is targeted at selecting new hybrid rice varieties fitting to the Thai market requirements. The first commercial launch of hybrid seed to the local market is planned in 2011.
