Established in 1962, Bayer Thai Company Limited maintains two manufacturing facilities in Thailand – one in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong Province and another in Bangpoo Industrial Estate. The bigger Map Ta Phut plant produces polycarbonates on a worldwide scale that are exported mostly to countries in the APAC region. The smaller plant in Bangpoo Industrial Estate produces environmental science, crop protection and animal health products. It also serves as the headquarters of the new BaySystems ASEAN that provides ready-to-use polyurethane systems for the manufacture of heat insulating foams used in the construction, refrigeration and hot water sectors, as well as special applications for automotive, footwear and sports equipment manufacturers. Systems ASEAN serves customers in Southeast Asian countries including Australia and New Zealand.
