In the debate about progress in society as a whole, the concept of sustainability plays a central role.
The basis of sustainable development is to keep a balance between economic, ecological and social
considerations.

As a research-based, growth-oriented global enterprise with core competencies in the fields of health care, nutrition, and high-tech materials, for Bayer, we carefully develop products and services aligning with the mission “Science For A Better Life.” We also take very seriously any risks emanating from our products and production processes and evaluate them early in order to develop measures to control them or find alternatives. To follow the global Responsible Care principles, Bayer products-integrated environmental protection policy focuses on all the phase of a product’s life cycle, from the use of raw material, through production and transport, to handling, use and disposal. In addition, we are aware of energy saving issue by set up an energy task force at our polycarbonate production site in Map Ta Phut
Industrial Estate for implementing various projects to conserve energy and utilities

Our commitment to environmental protection includes our partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the long-list of cooperation projects is headed by Bayer Young Environmental Program. The project aims to raise awareness and build up young environmental leaders from 17 countries around the world in integrating as well as learning about environmental protection in theory and practice in Germany.
